Carly is helping Dad put Clecos in the new wing skins. She really can put them in the Cleco pliers.
Inside left wing
Wiring has begun. Lets just get this over with !
Generator control box. Wiring schematics on inside of cover panels per original.
Circuit breakers, Reverse current relay. All wires are marked with the number assigned to them per the original wiring schematic.
Here is a Kingsley wire marker. The same type of machine used during WWII to mark wires. So not only are the wires marked per original, but the same type of machine is used to do the marking.
Original Breeze electrical plugs. (not cannon plugs). The phenolic cylinders and the 2 bottom flat retainers had to be made. They just don't exist anymore.
Machining a piece of Phenolic, making one of the above insulating cylinders.
This is the Tailhook structure inside the tail. This steel structure can only be installed by taking the skins and stringers off the side. It will not fit through the top access hole. Notice the ink stamps on the special Tailhook parts that were made at NARF NAS Pensacola. They were not made at North American Aviation.
The Tailhook attach area. This is the original tailhook. It's actually worn away at the tip of the hook point.
Another close up of the NARF NAS Pensacola tail wheel shroud. This was to stop the cable from ripping off the tail wheel if the hook missed. Notice the base plate welded to a North American tail wheel axel. The shroud is made out of .090 SS and is very stout. There are many original scrape marks from the cable that have left very deep marks in the front.
Rear cockpit.
Front instrument panel and pilots control box.
Side shot of Generator box during wiring.
The Prop Shop in Oklahoma provided this authentic prop. Thanks to Mr. Don Neiser, owner!
Thats it for now.
